• Automatic Mode- Allows the camera to use it's best judgement to take pictures. Will automatically select ISO, shutter speed, focus, aperture, etc.
• Some cameras will allow you to override the flash or red eye reduction.
• Portrait Mode- Camera picks a large aperture and helps to take the background out of focus.
• Portrait is best used to take a picture of a single subject.
• If in the sun it is best to add a little flash to add light to the subjects face.
• Macro Mode- allows you to move closer into your subject to take a close up shot.
• When shooting try to keep your camera and the subject parallel of each other.
• Landscape Mode- is the opposite of Portrait mode and is taken with a very small aperture.
• Landscape is ideal when shooting wide scenes (ex. Mountains)
• Sports Mode- Photographing moving objects (also called Action Mode)
• Used to photography- sports, cars, animals, wildlife, etc.
• The sports mode tries to slow down the action to help slow down the action Panning will be effective.
